Been working on this one on/off for about a month. It's a werewolf adoptable for Squiby (a user-driven pet site where you click your pet to "feed" it and it grows at certain click counts).

I've never done a transformation sequence before. Well, technically I have, as this image could constitute as a big-budget remake, but nothing this detailed. I probably should've added a stage right in the middle, too...

Pay no attention to the light source. The moon was added as an afterthought. The style is also simplified because the final size for each stage is 85x110.

Obviously lots of inspiration from *Black-rat, who is like the king of transformation fetish. :P

time: about 5 hours collectively
original size: 1360 x 440 @ 72dpi

Needless to say, with your knowledge of anatomy and muscles, I was kind of waiting for the day when you'd apply that skill to a werewolf transformation. ;)

Very well done! I think the third stage is my favorite, and I love the facial design of the final wolf.
