Behold and scoff!
Still unable to draw, so instead I'm posting a reference sheet for my sparkle-dragon Narugi (apologies for posting this twice in a row). I'm getting a little impatient, as the artwork shown has been sitting around for half a year and it'll likely take me longer to complete all the illustrations needed for a more elaborate character sheet. You've probably already seen the art, so now I force you to read his backstory (if you actually read the thing, you're my hero).
I rarely talk about my characters, mainly because I'm incredibly self-conscious about my creativity (or lack of). So I don't expect anyone to take this guy seriously. He hasn't got the most original story attached to him and the one you see now is a result of 10 years of butchering and rehashing. It started off as entirely high fantasy and has since evolved into something more urban. By 2020 Narugi'll probably end up being some average Joe with a desk job in a non-fantasy setting.
But I guess that's a part of being a creator, eh?
(is the green background too dark?)
